Ed Bennett

Ed spent his early years in Tasmania and has always had a connection to the raw beauty of nature, of which that island has so much. A realisation nearly twenty years ago that maybe there was more to life than a suit and tie led Ed to buy a one way ticket to Bangkok and then proceed over-land to London. Lack of money and absolutely no desire to put the tie back on ended with a ‘job’ as a tour leader with an adventure company. That ‘job’ has defined Ed’s life ever since, having travelled to over 60 countries and made friends in places that once he may only have dreamt of.

Some of his favourite journeys have included being rewarded with the sunrise of the dawning of the new millennium from the top of Mt Kilimanjaro, spending six months boat hopping through the magnificent archipelago of Indonesia, to travelling full circle and guiding in the remote wilderness of Tasmania. In 2008 Ed was fortunate to revisit the Kimberley again, a place he ‘travelled’ through in the 1980’s in a Kombi van, and began a reacquaintance with this majestic environment. Settling in Broome he worked for a large travel company guiding 4WD groups through the area for a few years before ending back in the office as the Touring Operation Manager. It got a bit too close to putting a tie back on so in 2012 he went out on his own starting InStyle Adventures. Ed guides many of the InStyle Adventures tours personally.

Kerry Bennett

Kerry moved to the tropics of Broome over twenty years ago and with her bubbly and out-going personality as well as her love of travel and tour operational background ensures she is the perfect ‘go to’ person for clients. Many people say that she is the ‘style’ in InStyle Adventures and she loves nothing better than discovering and road testing hidden gems on ‘research trips’ with Ed. Kerry has worked in operations in Kimberley touring, as well as guided for a local Broome tourism business, and knows all the best spots through the region.

One of Kerry’s most memorable journeys was being surrounded by over a hundred mighty elephants, and chasing honey badgers on safari in Africa – she never caught the badger! Kerry is also an accomplished tour guide and don’t be surprised to find Kerry expertly guiding one of our adventures – where she is sure to guarantee that everyone has a great time.

Digga

Chris, or ‘Digga’ as he is known to everyone has a wealth of knowledge and has guided extensively around Australia and overseas. With many touring seasons in the Kimberley Digga knows the the region intimately and loves sharing his knowledge and introducing his guests to the local characters. An unfortunate Collingwood supporter it’s a good thing he has a keen sense of humour!

Dan

What can we say about Dan? Well he’s been a Kununurra ‘local’ for the past 25 years, has been guiding tourists for 15 years and if there is somewhere or something in the Kimberley that Dan doesn’t know or been to, well it’s probably not worth it. Oh, and as you may gather Dan doesn’t mind a bit of fishing. If you’re fortunate to have Dan as your guide we guarantee you’re sure to have an authentic outback experience – just ask his many past guests.
